Waste Management Corporation Limited (WAMCO) is a State-owned Entity providing waste management services to cities and inhabitant islands across the Maldives. WAMCO is tasked with operating Regional Facilities as well as overall waste management operations in all cities throughout the country. On January 1st, 2016, the corporation officially started its operations by taking over the waste management function for the Greater Malé Region and has since expanded into additional locations across the country.

Mr. Ahmed Nasif is the newly appointed Chairman of Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO), bringing with him a wealth of experience across multiple sectors including public administration, corporate management, education, and international consultancy. With over two decades of diverse professional experience, Mr. Nasif is recognized for his leadership, strategic insight, and dedication to sustainable development. Mr. Nasif is also well regarded in the academic field, having served for over 15 years college lecturer and corporate trainer. Mr. Nasif holds a Master of Business Administration (International) from the Australian College for Business and Technology (affiliated with Edith Cowan University, Australia), obtained in 2007. Mr. Nasif’s broad expertise, coupled with his commitment to public service and sustainable development, positions him as a strong leader to guide WAMCO in addressing the nation's environmental and waste management challenges.

Mr. Mujuthaba has a very successful career, serving as the Secretary General of Male' City Council since 2021, following his role as the Deputy Minister of Economic Development, CEO of National Social Protection Agency (NSPA), Chief Audit Executive of Villa Group. He was the Financial Specialist in setting up Maldives Pension Office, later served as the Board member of Maldives Pension Office. He has vast experience in Financial sector, filling the positions of Audit Committee Chair in Maldives Transport & contracting Company (MTCC), Maldives Pension office etc. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Master's degree in Financial Business Management from Kingston University, London. He is also Certified Chartered Accountant, and is presently engaged in pursuing a PhD focused on the complexities of dual Banking systems in Islamic Banking at the Management & Science University of Malaysia (MSU).

Ahmed Ibrahim is a highly experienced procurement and operations professional with over 25 years of leadership experience in the fisheries sector. He has a strong background in strategic sourcing, contract management, bid coordination, and administrative operations. Throughout his career, he has held senior roles at MIFCO & Koodoo Fisheries, including Head of Procurement, Deputy Manager, and Bid Committee Chairperson, where he successfully managed complex operational processes and procurement strategies. Earlier in his career, he worked in the Accounts Department at the Ministry of Fisheries & Agriculture. Ahmed is recognized for his leadership skills, organizational efficiency, and expertise in driving effective procurement and business operations
